Their purpose is to create a welcoming environment in the Colorado Springs area that encourages a productive practice of networking. Many of their events are open to everyone (but please RSVP so they know how many to expect).
They aim to assist new networkers by connecting them with mentors in the area. If this is something you are interested in, please email them at firstname.lastname@example.org, and let them know Springs Choice Welcome Service sent you.
The Council of Neighbors and Organizations (CONO)
Visit CONO to learn more about how you can get involved in your new neighborhood. This organization works to keep our neighborhoods safe, healthy, and thriving places to live.
CONO educates neighborhoods allowing them to help themselves. Their success is measured by the number of neighborhoods they are able to reach and the number of connections they can make between neighborhoods.
Some of the things they provide are:
The Pikes Peak Neighbors
Pikes Peak Neighbors is a not-for-profit organization established to provide a social and educational environment and to promote community involvement. Originally established as the Welcome Wagon Club in 1974, it is currently open to all in the Pikes Peak Region.
Charitable activities are the primary focus, in addition to luncheons, tours of local historical/cultural locations and numerous interest groups.
They want to bring small town community to a big town neighborhood. They believe we all need face to face relationships. That’s why they have created special events to let new residents meet other new residents. It’s like a hangout to welcome you to town and to get to know one another in person.
